Learning is tons of fun with the Drop and Go Dump Truck by VTech. Drop a colorful rock into the top of this cute toy dump truck, and watch it tumble into the bucket. Your little one will learn numbers as the interactive truck counts each rock. Once the rocks are in the bucket, push or pull the truck along to see the rocks rumble inside. Then, lift the hinged bucket to unload the rocks and start again while developing motor skills. The dump truck also includes 3 colorful buttons that play melodies, phrases and teach tools and colors. Requires 2 AAA batteries (batteries included for demo purposes only; new batteries recommended for regular use). Intended for ages 6 months to 3 years.

Received this a day earlier than expected. 9+ mo old grandson was captivated by it immediately (he loved the Amazon box, too LOL). He is too young to know how to pop the rocks into the bed of the dump truck but he puts them in the hole, turns it over and spins the wheels — he loves wheels. If I pop the rocks in, he pulls the bed back by hand to get them out — he doesn’t know how to use the lever. He can’t walk so he can’t pull the truck by the string but he laughs when I pull it and crawls after it. Love VTech because of the bells and whistles of sound and lights. We are such an electronic world and I like buttons to press for learning activities. Grandson has many VTech toys. It’s great to start babies out young (many he got months ago) because they can grow into the toys and go back to them. He has the laptop, remote control, sit to stand (all time favortie – love love love this one), Iphone, etc. Yes, the “rocks” have gone under the couch a few times but that’s OK – I fish them out. Today I put some of his other little toys in the back of the dump truck with the rocks. The Vroom Vroom sound is fun and I do that, too. I searched Amazon for a truck and decided on this one and am very happy with it. It is sturdy and something he will play with for a long time.
great for gift giving (as long as it’s going to …
My 18 month old received this as a gift. He loves pulling it along behind himself. The “rocks” take a little effort to push through from the top of the truck and he occasionally gets frustrated by that. But he’ll just toss them directly into the bucket and go on his merry way. The sound has two levels and plays the typical VTech songs and sounds. Cute little toy, great for gift giving (as long as it’s going to a family that isn’t anti-noisy toy)!
Great toy for 1-year-old boy
I bought this for my grandson’s 1st birthday. He loved it right away. It’s just right for his age.
Tough little truck
After a year of play and countless drops it’s still going strong.
Not annoying at all
I actually really like this car. I wanted something my daughter could pull but also learn with at the same time. What I love about this toy is that it counts and asks to add one more “rock/boulder” into the hole. To me this toy is the least annoying toy of all the talking ones I own. It plays music when she pushes it or pulls it and counts the rocks as she puts them in the hole. Somewhere we lost the green one but if you put them in there back to back it’ll still count to 3. Also has a little lever to dump anything out of it. My 13 month old does not use that part yet. She has just gotten the hang of pulling it right side up. Would recommend.
Purchased for a one year old girl and two year old boy. Both LOVE it!
I purchased two of these trucks. One for my 1 year old granddaughter, and another for my 2 year old nephew. I was pleasantly surprised at the size and quality! Both kids love putting the balls (rocks) in the top of the truck, and pushing them ever so lightly so they come through to the back of the dump truck into the bucket. The colors are bright, and the quality is good. I am very happy with this purchase.
Great Beginner Toy // Good Price
This little truck is a great first toy. The balls go through the top of the truck and then roll into the yellow truck bed. The blue lever let you dump the rocks and start all over again. The truck sings a little song “I’m a powerful dump truck, I rumble down the road, moving my load from here to there”. I bought it for my son when he was 5 months old and he just chewed on the balls at that point. He then started pulling the rope and hitting the buttons. Definitely keeps his interest and is a great buy for the price.

It was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. At Christmas, he will be 9 months old. It seems that it is just the right size for him to play with. Not too big nor too small. Bright colors with fun balls that you can haul with the truck and roll around. Seems pretty durable as far as toys go- although, he hasn’t yet played with it. Good value for the price. I am excited to see him open it.
Cute and educational
My son enjoyed this from 6 months to 10 months then got bored with it. But when he was interested in it, he played with it all the time-so 5 stars! I can’t expect every toy to keep his attention forever! I think this is the toy that started to get him interested in sorting. Once he figuered out how to put the rock in the hole-a light bulb when off lol! Although this is a string toy, my son has yet to pull it around (maybe that’ll come with time?). Wish this thing came with more “rocks” since only that specific ball with fit in the hole. The songs are catchy and get stuck in your head but they aren’t too bad to listen to. It does count 1-3 as the rocks are put through the hole. I think once he starts learning numbers he might enjoy this thing again.
